Knoxville Anime Day 2019

Information: Our show is the one day anime marketplace that brings all your anime/manga needs to you without all the hassle or extra expense associated with other conventions. Admission is only $5.00 at the door so you won't have to spend all your money just to get inside. Our Anime Day features an over 2,000 sq ft dealers room, Video/Event room, prize giveaways, raffle drawing, cosplay, fan panels and FREE Parking. Location Knoxville Anime Day will be at the Holiday Inn Knoxville West- Cedar Bluff Rd. The hotel describes itself just minutes from the University of Tennessee, downtown Knoxville and the area's best shopping and dining districts. Along with a nice sized dealer's area, and enough space for our attendees the hotel also has plenty of free parking spaces available. We look forward to seeing everyone there. This room will show various anime shows throughout the day and will also be used to announce the costume contest winners. Check back later for a complete room schedule Marketplace: Our show features a 2,000 sq foot market place with a variety of anime, fantasy, comic and hobby dealers. Your sure to find some great gift ideas for both you and your friends. Its also a great place to meet other anime fans and find items you won't see anywhere else. So be sure to stop by and take a look at what our vendors have to offer. Video Room: Come visit the video area to relax and check out some new anime that you may not have seen yet. We will focus on showing the first episodes of newer anime series that just came out. Think of it as an Anime buffet. You can come in and sample a bit of everything to find out which ones you like. Fan Panels: We are proud to announce the addition of Fan Panels to our Anime Day events. These will be held a various times throughout the day in our new Event Room. Host a Panel:Please contact us if you are interested in running a fan panel at our show. Email us with your name, panel name, short description, tech requirements, age restrictions, and desired time. You will get two free passes and 1 hour for your panel time which includes both set up and break down. Video Games: We are pleased to announce the addition of a video game room to our Anime Day events. There will be multiple games and systems available to play. This will be a small casual gaming area that we hope all can enjoy. So stop by and get your game on. Video Game Tournament: Sign up starts at 10am with tournament at 4:30pm Show us your gaming skills and take part in our mini game tournament. Sign up for the tournament starts at 10am with the contest starting at 4:30 in the Event room. Costume Contest Nashville Anime Day will feature a dealer's room costume contest where the dealers, are the judges. This is a friendly competition to both encourage people to dress up and to reward those that do. The costumes will be judged on a variety of levels with awards/prizes given out to the winners at the end of the day. To Enter: times 10am - 3:00pm (winners announced at 4:00pm) Contest sign up will be located next to the registration desk. Contestants will be asked to fill out a short entry form with your name, character name, series, contact phone number and email address. We will also take a photo of you which will be used for the website as part of a gallery and to announce the winners online. Guidelines: Please keep it clean as this convention is open to all ages. No derogatory/offensive t-shirts or costumes. A good rule is the swimsuit rule. Costume should be greater then what you would wear to a public pool not less. To compete in the Costume Contest you must be an attendee of Anime Day. You must be present and in costume to register. No registering for a friend. Contestants 13 years old or younger you must have a parent or guardian present when registering. This is an amateur contest so please only enter if you made most of the costume yourself. Costumes should be based on Anime/Manga characters or similar themed genre like video games, comic books, sci-fi, or fantasy. No Weapons or sharp edged items that can be harmful to others allowed. Bring a plastic sword not a real one. All guns must be non realistic or have the bright orange safety tip. All rules are subject to change and final interpretations of these rules are up to the Anime Day staff members. By registering or attending this convention, all participants agree to these rules and give permission to Anime Day to take and use photographs and videos of said participants for online and advertising use.
