Geek Gala 2013

Come join us for our biggest bash of the year. Each year, the Charlotte Geeks celebrate their birthday with a charity event in memory of the founder's little sister, Christina, a former foster child. All proceeds from our charity raffle to benefit Childrens Home Society of NC. This mini-con is a day long party and this year's theme is Alien Invasion. Join us for the free film festival and open gaming during the day (2PM - 7PM) - and then prepare for a night of fun at the official Geek Gala. Doors open at 7 PM and the party stops at 1 AM. Play carny-style games like "Toss the Ewoks" and "Slay the Sparkly." Get your fortune read or your caricature drawn. Watch live musical & comedy performances, assemble your team for the trivia contest, and bid on some amazing themed Geeky Goody baskets for the charity raffle. Join us the next morning for our Morning After Breakfast and Redneck yardsale for all the items not claimed from the prize booth. What better way to spend the weekend before Halloween?
