The Fourty-First MileHiCon

Denver, CO, 7 June 2009 - The forty-first MileHiCon, the Rocky Mountain Region's largest literary science fiction convention, will be October 23-25 at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center-Denver. Run entirely by volunteers, MileHiCon will feature more than 80 authors and speakers, programming on every aspect of the SF and fantasy genres, the largest SF/fantasy art show in the region, round-the-clock gaming, a room full of dealers of SF-, fantasy-, and horror-related materials, and a masquerade (costume contest). The convention will also include video and anime rooms, as well as the Critter Crunch-the first robotic combat competition, from which all others came.

Sogen Con Registration Deadline and Guest Announcement

Sogen Con, to be held August 7-9 2009 at the Sioux Falls convention center in Sioux Falls South Dakota, would like to announce that we will be extending the registration deadline for both pre-registration and Hotel Reservations to July 16th. This change is to allow anyone who may have missed the announced change from the previous year’s dates.

This year, SEFA EVENT, organizer of Japan Expo, the biggest festival for Japanese Entertainment in Europe, launches the first edition of Comic Con’, the festival of the imaginary cultures. It will take place from the 2nd to the 5th of July 2009, in Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center, at the same time as Japan Expo 10th Impact.

You will now find even/odd coloring distinctions making for an improved user experience, and it is also easier to scan by either date or location. Soon we will update the submit convention link and open submissions to the public, and also add search functionality. Progress has been smooth so far, and the response has been excellent.
