Masahiko Otsuka

Masahiko Otsuka started his career at Studio Ghibli as an assistant director for “Pompoko” and “Whisper of the Heart”. He later moved to Studio GAINAX to assist in the production of “Neon Genesis Evangelion” as an episodic director. After directing his own series “Petite Princess Yucie”, he joined the production of “GURREN LAGANN” as assistant director. In 2011 he established Studio TRIGGER with several of his associates from GAINAX. Since then, Masahiko has been participating on and off in the creative process of TRIGGER’s project. His latest work includes the script for "Cyberpunk Edge Runners.

スタジオジブリにて『平成狸合戦ぽんぽこ』、『耳をすませば』の監督助手を務め、ガイナックスの『新世紀エヴァンゲリオン』で初演出、以後のガイナックス作品の多くにに演出として参加。『ぷちぷり＊ユーシィ』で監督『天元突破グレンラガン」副監督。
2011年のTRIGGER設立後も会社経営の傍ら時折スタッフとして参加。最新作『サイバーパンク　エッジランナーズ』脚本。
