Details
PulpFest is a convention that celebrates mystery, adventure, science fiction, and other popular genres. Our main focus is the pulp magazines and popular fiction of the early 20th century. Our event will take place August 3 - 6, 2023 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh -- Cranberry, located in Mars, PA. We generally host 60 - 70 dealers of pulp and digest magazines, first-edition hardcovers, vintage paperbacks, fanzines, series books, men's adventure magazines, book and magazine cover art, and much more. Our attendance is usually about 400 people. This year's convention will celebrate the centennials of Weird Tales and Sport Story Magazine. It will also celebrate the 90th anniversaries of pulp characters Doc Savage and The Spider, as well as Robert E. Howard's Conan. We'll also be hosting the FarmerCon XVIII convention, a gathering of the fans of science fiction writer Philip José Farmer, and ERBFest 2023. The latter will be celebrating the centennials of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. and the author's "Moon Trilogy," as well as the 150th anniversary of the birth of artist J. Allen St. John.
