About Kappa Kon 2012
Genres
Kappa Kon is a high school Milwaukee anime convention, run entire by students as part of the school's anime club. The South Milwaukee High School anime club has been running for over five years, gaining popularity each year, and they decided to start their own convention in 2011. That first year had over 50 attendees, and was a joint effort of several SM anime club members, teachers, and alumni. Due to the first year's success and popularity, the convention will return in 2012 as a one-day event (Saturday). The convention also encourages focuses outside of anime, including Steampunk and gaming. There are gaming tournaments, a maid cafe, open gaming, vendors, and student artists. School rules apply, including no live steel, no realistic looking weapons or guns, no inappropriate clothing, etc.
