Haunted Screams Expo 2024

Haunted Screams Expo began in 1993 as a haunted house in Virginia Beach. Under the direction of David Taylor, Haunted Screams scared lines of willing visitors for one week annually, with many of them coming back for more. In fact, the public enjoyment of the haunted houses was so great, Haunted Screams was awarded the silver award 4 times for the events, between 2000-2005 in the former “Best of Hampton Roads Awards,” now known as “The Best,” by The Virginian-Pilot. In 2019, the week-long haunted house became a two-day long horror- and Halloween-themed con at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. What started as a grassroots community effort to celebrate Halloween has grown to more than 25 years of showcasing Halloween and horror, in all their glory, in Hampton Roads.
