About Kappa Kon 2013
Genres
Kappa Kon is a high school anime convention, run entirely by students as part of the school's anime club. The South Milwaukee High School anime club has been running for over six years, gaining popularity each year. The first Kappa Kon in 2011 had over 50 attendees, and was a joint effort of several SM anime club members, teachers, and alumni. In 2012 the attendance was even greater. Kappa Kon 2013 will be a one day event on April 13. The convention also encourages focus outside of anime, including Steampunk and gaming. There are gaming tournaments, a maid cafe, open gaming, vendors, and student artists. School rules apply, including no live steel, no realistic looking weapons or guns, no inappropriate clothing, etc.
