Konsplosion! 2013 "A Joining of Forces" An All Encompassing Multi Genre Convention We are pleased to announce that the Multi Genre event "Konsplosion!" will be returning to the Fort Smith Convention Center September 20-22, 2013. With an Attendance of over 900 individuals for it's debut last year, Konsplosion! promises to be bigger and better for 2013! Featuring a newer and larger Nerf Style Arena, which averages 9,000 square feet this event is sure to draw a crowd. Throughout the weekend, Konsplosion! will offer many rooms and stages filled with exciting and entertaining events. The "geek culture" Convention features such events as: Cosplay and Costume Contests "Kon's Got Talent", a great way to show off local "Geek" talent A BBC Ball, where participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite British television stars, From Monty Python to Doctor Who L.A.R.P (live action role play) from Amtgard www.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amtgard, and Demos from the SCA (the Society for Creative Anachronism www.http://sca.org/) A Large Area dedicated to Video Games, from the classic Nintendo to the newest PS3 lineup Tabletop games such as, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, YuGiOh, and more. A classically trained Japanese Fairy tale Storyteller Vendors from across the country Theatrical Performances Classic "cult" movies such as Rocky Horror Musical Performances, such as Raves and Videos and much more! Konsplosion! also features it's fair share of local and national talent! We have great guests such as: Kevin Miguel Connolly, an American Actor, Script Writer and Anime ADR Director Samantha Inoue-Harte, an Actor, a Voice Actor, a translator, and a classically trained animator through Don Bluth Gaijin Goombah, A growing internet video game sensation Earl Green, A Podcaster, author of the book VWORP!1 which chronicles Doctor Who TV from 1963-2001 Chris "Cee" Raymond, A cartoonist, writer, and illustrator AmBear Shellea, Author of the Pedalstem Lillies Series Michelle Horn, Japanese Story Teller Quinton C. , Video Game music Enthusiast and designer with more guests to be announced!
