Youmacon 2012

November 1-4, 2012
Detroit, MI

Official Review

At a huge anime convention like Youmacon, one expects to be immersed in a world filled with epic and dazzling events, and that's exactly what you'll get at Youmacon. Concerts with unique performers like Steam Powered Giraffe, a Youmacon Battle Opera, a giant rave with excellent sound and lights, and a massive gaming room all make the experience at this con difficult to forget. Bridging attendees between two venues that are 15 minutes apart, late program guides, and a three-hour registration line made the weekend less than perfect for some, but the number, quality, and content of events and guests more than made up for it, and it was entirely possibly to spend the entire weekend without traversing between the two locations unless there was an event you absolutely did not want to miss. Youmacon is always a memorable experience.
