Official Review

Anime Midwest 2014 knocked it out of the park. Everything was smoothly organized and professional. The badges and program books looked incredible, and almost all of the convention events ran on time. The video game room had dozens of arcade games, and the vendor hall was bigger than ever. This was a giant con that still had the appeals of a small con, like camaraderie and being easy to navigate.

About Anime Midwest 2014

Anime Midwest is a massive anime convention in Chicago, bringing together thousands of fans for the three-day weekend event. This weekend event happens over the 4th of July every year, giving fans a chance to experience one of the most epic weekends in the entire world. When it comes to anime conventions, Anime Midwest is hands-down one of the best. It combines inexpensive, huge guests, free autographs, and tons of congoer support to make for an epic weekend. You can get free ramen noodles and soda at the convention's ConSweet all weekend. Autographs with all of the guests are free. There are tons of social events geared towards making new friends. All of the staff are super friendly and professional. And the convention's panels, events, and concerts are better than those you'll find anywhere. Huge light systems, giant subwoofers, and all the little details come together to help make Anime Midwest shine brightly.
